This piece is also part of our Fumed oak collection, which uses a fuming process to darken the wood and emphasize the grain pattern. Because of the high tannin content of unfinished raw oak, this process is used. Other wood species can go through this process as well, but they darken less. In contrast to staining, smoking oak is permanent and does not obscure the grain; the fumed oak collection features a more natural while retro style that truly illuminates your interior spaces.

Green and sustainable origin of wood

The majority of the oak wood we use comes from the main production facilities in France and Germany, which is a region with a high concentration of oak trees and where more trees are planted than harvested. This allows us to maintain control over the oak logs produced in a sustainable manner.

Hardwax oiled, UV oiled or lacquered

The surface treatment determines the overall feel and appearance of the floor. Awood offers a variety of options. Matt lacquer will make it appear untreated while providing the best anti-scratch and wear resistance performance. Hardwax oil gives the floor a wonderfully natural feeling, and UV oil combines the natural touch of an oiled surface with floor surface protection.
